CALLING ALL INTERFACE MAKERS, HACKERS and TINKERERS
GET A FREE STALL AT INTERFACE AMNESTY
26th September 2009 – Static, 23 Roscoe Lane, Liverpool
Inspired by a trade fair scene in the 1974 Francis Ford Coppola film ‘The Conversation’ and your local jumble sale Interface Amnesty plays with the conventions of interface design, music technology products and the presentation of interactive art.
If you have been developing your own instruments and interfaces for making and performing music, sound and moving images and want to share your creations with the public on your own stall get in touch with a description of your project at:
amnesty@soundnetwork.org.uk
Please provide as much information about your project as you can.
The closing date for submissions is 4th September 2009.
Interface Amnesty is a fringe event at Abandon Normal Devices – a festival of new cinema and digital culture. Its an opportunity for sharing between artists, musicians and the public with live performance, food stalls and that elusive country fair feeling.
Invited artists, hobbyists and makers will be show-and-telling self made, developed and hacked devices for playing sound and music over one day and evening in a free trade fair/market style setting. Get a stall in the hall and show your hacked/shared/open/closed wares with key lunchtime and evening show-offs.
A SoundNetwork event supported by AND, STATIC, and John Moores University
Funded by Arts Council England and PRS Foundation
