Artist, Natalie Russell and New Gallery Sign for South Bohemia Gallery, Liverpool
Natalie Russell is a new artist based in Liverpool. Her paintings and murals are of overtly feminine, sexy, suggestive girls in various states of undress. Natalie’s Lolitas can be found hanging around in many a subway in the suburbs of Liverpool, England.
She is a BA (Hons) graduate from Liverpool John Moores University in Fashion and Textiles. She explores a range of media from design, painting and as an illustrator.
Her designs, also like her paintings, are quirky and fun! She draws her inspiration mainly from the Toulouse Graffiti scene, 50’s pin-up girls and Jessica Rabbit.
Russell in currently researching and developing a news series of paintings for a Solo Exhibition at the South Bohemia Gallery, Liverpool, England, to be announced.
She is currently developing a new design for the gallery signage of South Bohemia. This will be unveiled in the coming weeks. She states: “… The South Bohemia Lolita is what I envisage for the design in process … “.
