Apologies for not updating the artwork of the day today. I’ve just been too busy (and got up late).
The Liverpool 08 bus was in Williamson Square today so we took a look, its ok, there’s plenty of leaflets about 2007/8, a few computer screens similar to the ones in the 08 place where you can select items for more information – the one about the new Liverpool Arena is interesting.
Upstairs there’s a timeline showing the development and major events of the city from 1207 onwards.
This afternoon I went into Radio Merseyside’s new studios in Hanover Street to be interviewed by Claire Hamilton. Claire presents her programme ‘Claire Hamilton on Sunday’ every Sunday between 13.00 and 15.00. This program covers all the arts and includes interviews and live music.
I was there mainly to talk about our ‘Liverpool Turner 2007‘ competition. It seems a lot of people are quite excited about this. I want more people to join the forum and nominate more local artists. We now have at least one prize to offer of an exhibition for the winning artist at Lark Lane Flowers Gallery. There may be more to come.
There are still a lot of really good artists that deserve a nomination.
Please tune into Radio Merseyside at 13.00 on Sunday April 8 2007, I hope you can make some sense of my mutterings.
