An Invitation to be on the Silver Screen

An invitation to be on the silver screen

We would like to invite you to be in a major film for Liverpool entitled Daydream. We are Christine Molloy and Joe Lawlor, an artist/filmmakers group known as Desperate Optimists

The film is a large-scale community film about Liverpool and will explore ideas and feelings of a city in transition. The cast will almost entirely be made up of local communities and people involved in the 80 Days Around the City projects and we would like as many of these people as possible to be in the film. The film will be 30mins in length and will be filmed in 5 key locations in the city including St George’s Hall. We would like to invite you and your group/organisation to participate in the filming in St George’s Hall.

The filming will take place at St Georges Hall on Saturday 15 July, from 1pm – 6.00pm. You should arrive by 1pm at the latest. The scene involves an audience watching a rock band perform a song in the (newly renovated and spectacular) Concert Hall.
All participants must be over 18 years of age and, on arrival, will be asked to sign a release form.

We are sure the day will be fun and participants will be able to see up close how a 35mm film is shot. All participants will be invited to the launch of the film as part of ‘Made In Liverpool’ in October at Cineworld on Edge Lane and have their own personal copy of the film on DVD. In addition, the film will be shown in different areas of Liverpool during the Liverpool Biennial.

A buffet lunch and cold drinks will be served.
If you would like to be in the film please RSVP to
or call 0151 709 7444.

Parking will not be available at St George’s Hall.

Daydream is a film that has been commissioned for Made in Liverpool 06 by Liverpool Biennial and Liverpool Culture Company.

We look forward to hearing from you.
