What you’ll be doing

As a leader in visitor experience you’ll be a natural collaborator, working comfortably with fellow Consultancy Managers in other disciplines, internal advisors, the property teams and your head office colleagues to ensure that our property teams receive the visitor experience advice and support they need to meet their objectives.

You’ll understand how to analyse and segment our audiences and you’ll be an expert in developing visitor experiences to help us grow the nation’s love of special places.

As the role supports colleagues spread across a wide geographical area you’ll need to be flexible to travel regularly within the region. Some days you’ll be in the office, others you’ll be out and about at our beautiful places. One thing’s certain though, no two days will ever be the same.

Who we’re looking for

A recognised expert within the visitor attractions sector, you’ll have a powerful network to call on that will bolster the skills of our internal consultancy. You’ll also need to have:

  • Experience of guiding transformative visitor experience projects , preferably in the Museum and Heritage sector
  • An understanding of audience development, interpretation and engagement
  • Experience of managing multi-disciplinary teams
  • The ability to build strong working relationships across your region using excellent influencing and negotiation skills
  • A creative approach, with the ability to drive improvement and change
  • Absolute dedication to customer service and a strategic approach to delivering new ideas
  • Confidence in your ability to share your expertise, insight and ideas with colleagues and clients alike
