Father’s Day Fun at the Albert Dock
Treat Dad to a special day out by the waterfront – he deserves it! There’s lots going on at the Albert Dock this weekend:
Narrow Boats Rally – 16 & 17 June 2007
Don’t let Dad miss ‘Coal and Cotton’ at the Albert Dock, a spectacular narrow boat rally organised by British Waterways to mark Liverpool’s 800th birthday.
More than 60 vessels have made their way to the Albert Dock for this annual rally to experience the journey one last time before the new canal link at the Pier Head changes the way the boats move through the Mersey for ever.
Waterfront Gospel Music Festival – 16 & 17 June 2007
A soulful weekend of gospel music, rap, hip hop and reggae, the festival will celebrate the 200th anniversary of the abolition of the transatlantic slave trade and Liverpool’s 800th birthday.
Watch out for Liverpool’s Love and Joy Gospel Choir plus face painters and street entertainers
