The Albert Dock Company in association with Liverpool Culture Company announce the opening of a Tourist Information Centre
The owner of Merseyside’s most visited tourist attraction, the Albert Dock Company, is joining forces with the Liverpool Culture Company to provide a one-stop Tourist Information Centre in Anchor Courtyard (the courtyard adjacent to Ha Ha! and Spice Lounge and Yellow Duckmarine place) at the Albert Dock.
The Tourist Information Centre is set to open to open its doors to the public on October 22nd, just in time for the half term school holiday in October. The Tourist Information Centre represents a long-term commitment by the Albert Dock Company and Liverpool Culture Company to maximise the range of services on offer for tourists visiting Liverpool in the lead up to the Capital of Culture year and beyond. The Albert Dock Information Centre also adds to existing tourist information services at John Lennon Airport.
The Albert Dock development is the second tourism boost this week after the 08 Place TIC won the North West Tourism Award on Wednesday. The 08 Place now goes to the national final in April which will be held in Liverpool’s St George’s Hall – the first time the awards have been held outside London.
In keeping with the Albert Dock’s tourism and leisure activities, a Spooky Halloween Treasure Hunt is planned for the half term holiday from October 22nd – 28th where your very own little ghouls and goblins can visit places of interest around the dock, collecting stamps from participating retailers which upon return to the Tourist Information Centre will be exchanged for a spooky treat!
On the 27th October, the Harry Potter Sorting Hat will be on duty sorting the Slytherin from the Gryffindor amongst you.
Then on 31st October the Albert Dock is hosting a whole evening of Halloween fun from 4pm until 8pm including Duck Apple and Fortune telling. There really will be plenty of activities for families and tourists to get involved in!
