The 800 poems for 800 years need only about another 100 entries to reach the target.

Anyone can write a simple poem and enter it.
Its easy, even me and Mrs J have entered! Actually Minako’s is a bloody good Japanese Tanka (like a Haiku only longer).
Get published on the website and hopefully a book to be sold for charity.
