The a.P.A.t.T. Orchestra
Call for Musicians
The a.P.A.t.T. Orchestra is an inclusive large scale ensemble of non-specific instrumentation that performs time and place-specific music and cross art-form collaborations in unusual settings, and uses the architecture of each venue to inform composition and/or performance.
Previous concerts have seen collaborations with the Bluecoat, the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool Biennial, the RLPO, Ensemble 10/10, FACT and Tate Liverpool.
Our next concert – part of our Musical Settings series– takes place on Sunday 11th September 2011 at 2:00pm with a performance at the World Museum.
We will be performing Philip Glass’ ‘Music in Similar Motion’ in the Planetarium, along with other, new pieces, including a piece performed in the Aquarium, and a collaboration with local ensemble Ex-Easter Island Head in the Museum’s foyer.
We are looking for new members who play any instrument (including singers).
The a.P.A.t.T. Orchestra welcomes musicians from all backgrounds and of all abilities.
