Cornerhouse Projects – Call for Submissions

CORNERHOUSE PROJECTS – CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

Deadline: Ongoing

Cornerhouse is renewing its call for submissions to Cornerhouse Projects – our regular exhibition strand dedicated to North-West based artists.

Cornerhouse Projects is an opportunity for artists from the region to showcase their work and test new ideas. Occupying the buildings front-of-house spaces, it is a highly visible platform for artists’ work, as well as an opportunity to make sales.

As one of our core programmes, Cornerhouse Projects has a unique relationship with the international art and film events taking place in the rest of the building. It takes full advantage of Cornerhouse’s location in the city, being a focal point for a diverse range of people with an active interest in film, contemporary art and culture.

Previous exhibitions have been single and group exhibitions in a range of 2D media, usually lasting between one and two months.

We are seeking submissions from artists, curators, designers and other creative individuals and groups, who wish to present new or existing work. We are especially interested in ideas that engage with context, our audiences and our position as a social hub in one of the busiest parts of the city.

To submit a proposal, please send the following:
• Current CV
• Short artist’s statement / proposal (maximum 1 side of A4)
• Maximum 10 example images (jpg or pdf)

Multiple submissions will be accepted. Due to the nature of the exhibition environment, artwork must be wall-mountable. All proposed artwork should be available to hang with all necessary fixtures and fittings.

Please send submissions to Tomas Harold, Exhibitions Coordinator, by email at: tomas.harold@cornerhouse.org

Thank you
