Painting

I am a painter and usually use Acrylic on canvas or canvas board but do some mixed media and oils occassionally as well as drawings.

Having made a decision to enter into a management career after A’Levels rather that pursue a career in Art, I have for over 25 years had a successful career in business and in 2004 took the opportunity to early retire and paint full time. This has turned out to be a huge out pouring of work in a variety of styles and mediums over the last 2 years.

I have sold well locally and on the internet. I had a 6 week exhibition in March this year in Castle Park Arts Centre in Frodsham and in June this year took part in a joint exhibition in Manley School House Manley In both exhibitions my work sold well, and has resulted in a number of commissions since the exhibitions.

I am basically self taught although I have attended some life classes over the years and had some teaching during holidays abroad. I am currently displaying my work in restaurants in Liverpool and Frodsham I have recently been working on a series of paintings of the Liverpool Waterfront
