Etching, Collograph, Printmaking

statement:
My work is an emotional response to landscape, and peoples place in it. I have travelled extensively and find this influences the colour and forms of my work, this can be seen in examples of work I produced on Pinson Mound, a native American burial ground in Tennessee, and influences from Spain and North Africa and Eastern Europe. I am inspired by what I see around me and use natural materials and found objects in my work. I enjoy both the sculptural and mark making qualities of printmaking. The process of printmaking, although a labour intensive, is in its self part of the emotional creativity of each piece.

My work includes collagraphs, etchings, monoprints, screen prints and drypoint etching, frequently with more than one process layered upon another.
I have exhibited in galleries throughout the Northwest and my work and commissions sell both in the UK and USA.

I also try to exhibit in public spaces, making art more accessible to people, who might otherwise feel intimidated by formal galleries, or may not even have any inclination to visit a gallery
